Job Title: Welding Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Welding Engineer to coordinate, plan, and execute robotic and automation engineering activities related to manufacturing support, process improvement, facilities layout, new program management, and engineering change coordination. The ideal candidate will generate floor plans, and process flow diagrams, and follow the entire build of robotics, special purpose equipment, and fixtures from purchase order to PPAP and into production. This role provides engineering support to various departments and prepares work schedules with interim end target estimates for all projects within their responsibility.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, plan, and execute robotic and automation engineering activities.Generate floor plans and process flow diagrams.Follow the entire build of robotics, special purpose equipment, and fixtures from purchase order to PPAP and into production.Provide engineering support to other departments as directed by the Engineering Manager.Prepare work schedules with interim end target estimates for all projects within responsibility.Support APQP Team and Program Managers in creating technical specifications for purchasing automation, robotics, assembly equipment, and automated check fixtures.Implement new technologies and continuous improvement opportunities in machining and assembly fields.Initiate plans and ideas for cost reductions and/or quality improvement measures.Maintain a proper filing system to ensure all information is properly stored and easily retrieved.Follow and enforce guidelines and rules as defined in the Employee Handbook and company policies.Carry out assigned responsibilities under IATF and ISO standards.Contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment by adhering to the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize, and support).Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws while representing the company or using any provided equipment.Handle any other reasonable requests made by management.Essential SkillsProficiency in welding, robotic welding, and engineering.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and stay organized.Self-motivated professional.Fluent communication skills in both written and spoken English.Ability to relate and communicate well with people at all levels.Blueprint reading and basic measuring techniques.Proficiency with CAD software (preferably AUTOCAD or CADKEY).
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
