Welding Engineer
Job Description

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will first contribute to the industrialization of new equipment & tools for  the production line of Scroll Compressors.

Then you will contribute to the optimizing and improving industrial tools and equipment for product and process industrialization projects and for series production, in compliance with SQDC standards and objectives.

As part of your job, you will be able to progress in the various areas of the workshop as a multi-skilled worker on manufacturing processes and in liaison with logistics on preparation areas as well as delivery flows.

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

You manage projects involving manufacturing processes, in conjunction with departments working alongside methods (production, maintenance, R&D, project manager, quality, logistics, etc.), such as product developments, installation of complete new equipment (machines, tooling) or modifications to existing machines. You manage these projects from the technical specifications definition to the installation and commissioning of equipment, including budget definition, supplier consultation, study, provisional and final acceptance, drafting of production documents, etc., with strong focus on Safety / Quality / Deadline / Cost objectives. You will accompany the changes by providing your own workshop support: communication, training, updating technical documentation You have a good command of improvement and problem-solving tools (5S, 8D, SPC, QRQC, Lean Manufacturing, etc.). The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment Good understanding of relevant products & manufacturing processes Knowledge and/or experience with the following manufacturing processes: welding, washing, marking, assembling, screwing, painting, packing… Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Line balancing & ergonomics Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and coworkers from China and France.
