Welding/Fabrication Supervisor

Our client, a manufacturer of heavy capacity trailers is seeking a Welding/Fabrication Supervisor to join their team. As a Welding/Fabrication Supervisor, you will be part of the production department. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, ability to motivate employees and leadership skills which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Welding/Fabrication Supervisor**
**Location: Rensselaer, IN**
**Pay Range: $55-$60K**
**What’s the Job?**
+ Provide direct supervision over the welding department, ensuring that a quality product is provided in a cost efficient and timely manner.
+ Direct welding personnel including scheduling adherence, policy and procedure administration and documentation of all areas of responsibilities.
+ Provide workflow management, planning, mechanical expertise and analysis and training necessary to operate department in a clean, safe, and productive manner.
+ Manage troubleshooting activity including systematic resolution of problem, coordination of team, resources and communication of progress to appropriate management, always ensuring that the customer needs are met.
+ Communicate and motivate to maintain and improve personnel performance through listening skills, meeting skills, appraisals, progressive discipline and quality practice.
**What’s Needed?**
+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
+ Strong background in welding, specifically with all-hands MIG welding
+ Effective verbal and written communications skills
+ Minimum of 3 years in a fabrication environment
