We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter who is proficient in working with large structural steel. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fitting, and reading blueprints to build and layout parts accurately. This role requires the ability to select equipment, plan part layout, and perform welding tasks according to engineering production drawings. Candidates must be able to work independently and without guidance, using a variety of measuring tools.
ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to build and layout parts.Select equipment and plan part layouts: cut, fit material, tack material, and weld according to engineering production drawings.Layout workpiece per drawing without guidance or current part fixtures.Use measuring tools such as a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper.Perform welding tasks without the use of fixtures.Fit materials/components/products per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted routing time.Set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce products within acceptable quality standards.Essential SkillsProficiency in welding and fitting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in large structural steel fabrication.Skill in using various measuring tools including tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00
