Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other fabricated equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, and will be able to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure product quality and compliance.
ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other fabricated equipment.Inspect materials, parts, and products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine required inspection criteria.Use a variety of measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment to evaluate product quality.Ensure compliance with Section VIII, Section IX, and other applicable industry codes for pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturing.Document inspection results, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions.Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.Assist with internal and external audits and certifications, particularly related to industry codes.Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests for traceability and reporting purposes.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a related field is a plus).3+ years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with experience in pressure vessel or heat exchanger fabrication.Strong knowledge of Section VIII, Section IX, and other relevant industry standards and codes.Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsDirect experience with industry inspections and code compliance for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as Visual Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, or Magnetic Particle Testing.Familiarity with U, U2, and R stamps is a plus.CWI Certification.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
