Welding Operator

\n\t\t\t\t\t

This employee is responsible for the set-up and operation of welding equipment, exclusively for the manual welding of pressure bearing components. The employee must also monitor the process and quality of the product and make necessary corrections to the process to maintain a steady flow of quality product to the customer.\nResponsibilities:\n• Seeking 1st Shift Applicants\n• $17.50 per hour\n• Tutition Reimbursement (up to $10,000 Annually!)\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n• Reads prints and locates piece parts.\n• Sets up operational parameters on the weld machine and monitor. Make corrections as needed.\n• Positions, aligns, and fits components together.\n• Welds fabricated, cast, stamped, and pressure bearing components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.\n• Completes first article inspection before starting run.\n• Monitor the product quality using required gages and inspection criteria.\n• Operation of lifting devices as needed.\n• Looks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.\n• Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.\n• Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.\n• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.\n• Shut down process if unsafe.\n• Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.\n• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

There is a fairly high noise level throughout the plant and hearing protection must be worn at all times during production. Wearing of other proper protective equipment including metatarsal safety shoes and eye protection is required at all times during production.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $23.00
