Job Summary: Execute the field welding inspection, surveillance and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant records. Ensure that all welding operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes and Standards and Subsidiaries procedures Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans.
Key Responsibilities: In accordance with the Quality Control Plans, execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site issuing the relevant Quality Records. Verify welding parameters and consumables during operations. Be aware of welding procedures and qualifications. Check welders qualifications. Check the availability and suitability of the welding equipment consumables, pre-heating, welding, heat treatment, bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders (taking any corrective action required), the heat treatment record diagrams. Ensure that all welding, heat treatment and any hardness testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications.
Experience and Qualifications: (Mandatory requirements) Saudi ARAMCO CBT passed in in Welding and Piping. High School Graduate, or Equivalent. American Welding Society CWI, or CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector or International Welding Inspector IWI C and NDT Certification ASNT Level II (VT, PT, MT & UT.) Knowledge of codes such as ANSI B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1. Minimum 5 years of experience, in which minimum 3 years in Oil & Gas Industry. Ability to review or ensure NDT programs and results.
