Welding Supervisor
**Job Title: Welding Supervisor** **Job Description:** The Welding Supervisor will oversee and manage the daily welding operations, leading a team of welders to ensure production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and optimize processes to meet production goals. **Responsibilities:** + Assist in the implementation of company values, policies, and principles. + Supervise an effective team, including production/capacity planning, performance appraisals, managing staffing levels, and providing feedback. + Inspect welds, materials, equipment, and monitor gauges and dials to ensure compliance with production standards. + Conceive fixtures, jigs, etc., to solve welding-related issues efficiently. + Resolve operations and manufacturing problems to minimize costs and prevent delays. + Ensure timely completion of paperwork. + Collaborate with different departments to ensure resource availability for production. + Attend daily production meetings with the Production Manager, department leaders, and quality control. + Uphold quality control protocols to ensure product quality. + Communicate with the Production Manager about departmental issues. + Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. + Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations, Policies, and Procedures. + Resolve employee issues through the grievance process and recommend recognitions, promotions, or disciplinary actions. **Essential Skills** + Energetic and self-starting, with good computer literacy (email, Office) and organizational skills. + Effective communication and team-building skills. + Ability to handle multiple tasks and understand various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK, Robots, grinding, etc.). + Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols. + Deep understanding of various welding techniques and equipment. + Experience supervising 10-20 welders in a metal manufacturing environment. + Mathematical and mechanical aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to identify and troubleshoot manufacturing defects. + Working knowledge of different metals and sheet gauges. + Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
