What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Develop and implement daily and weekly workweek plans and schedules for the department Utilize employee resources and equipment to achieve production plans and schedules within a specified timeframe Train, inform and orient employees to specific procedures, processes and objectives of department, stressing and promoting quality and safety standards Maintain production, required personnel attendance, right-to-know, training records, and other records pertaining to the department Interface with other departments in coordinating raw materials, parts, assemblies, completed units and personnel Direct employee problems to the appropriate authorities for assistance, resolution and response Continually evaluate workflow and processes, and further recommend more efficient and effective procedures Complete objective performance appraisals on a timely basis and review outcomes with employees Participate in daily meetings in an effort to increase and maintain up-to-date communications and relay pertinent information to departmental employees Update manufacturing manager on progress of production plans and schedules Administer work rules, regulations and disciplinary action when necessary Appraise employee performance, recommend change of status, and wage adjustments Insure TDD, drawing and specification information is current to all production workers Documents all drawing and BOM discrepancies. Submits drawing redlines and BOM issues to the engineering group Manage and ensure all company policies, procedures, and safety objectives are followed. Report all findings Requirements & Qualifications… Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience in production area Knowledge or experience in welding Understanding of MIG/TIG/ welding practices Understand and use basic blueprints. Understand and use basic math. Leadership Skills Knowledge and understanding of Company safety procedures and policies. Awareness and understanding of Company quality standards.
