Your Role

 

As a Welfare Coordinator this summer, you’ll be a cornerstone of student well-being at EF Oxford, providing vital support to international students during their stay. Your empathetic approach, combined with strong organizational skills, will help ensure students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. From addressing welfare concerns to creating a safe and welcoming environment, this role is pivotal in shaping an exceptional experience for every student, promoting both their safety and success.

 

This is a fixed-term, full-time position (Sunday to Friday) running from June to August 2025, with permanent job opportunities post summer.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Assist with student registration, intakes, and welcoming proceduresConduct daily attendance checks and follow-ups for under-18s and over-18sAddress student inquiries, problems, and complaints regarding their campus experienceTrack, follow up, and close student cases in line with EF’s golden standardsBook health appointments and accompany under-18 students when necessaryUpdate welfare information across the school, including notice boards and online platformsOrganize and promote welfare-related events and activitiesEscalate health and safeguarding concerns and red flags to the Welfare ManagerMaintain connections with local youth support services and groupsSupport disabled students with a focus on inclusion and accessibility on campusParticipate in feedback activities, such as evaluations and student council meetings, and follow up on issues raisedProvide support during weekly Sunday and Monday student registration and induction

 

 

Requirements

 

Must be a team player who can lead from the front, be outgoing and have great attention to detailPrevious experience in a customer service environment, ideally working with young people and strong emotional intelligenceYou should be passionate about customer service and providing qualityAbility to work under pressure and in a high-paced environmentFluent in EnglishIn terms of mindset, we all have a ‘going above and beyond, never settling for the status quo' mentality.
