The Wellness Assistant  @ Abbotswood at Stonehenge provides exemplary service to residents through  presenting classes and instruction, coordinating events, and assisting with transportation as needed.

 

 

Part Time: Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 1pm - 7:30pm & Friday 9:30am - 5pm (22 hours)

 

Pay Rate: $18/hr

 

Paid Vacation / Free Meal each shift

 

 

 

 

What will I do every day?

Promote and monitor resident attendance and participation in all Art of Living Well (ALW) programsTeach and facilitate group fitness and recreational senior living programsOnboard and orient new residents to the fitness centerWork with volunteers and community groups to implement various programsAssist in setting up ALW and community eventsManage fitness center cleanliness, equipment and resident questionsDrive vehicles to transport residentsAssist in health care programming as needed 

What will I need to be successful in this role?

Bring a smile to work every dayBe a great team playerHigh school graduateOne to two years of experience in wellness programs (preferably with seniors)Experience leading exercise classes and assisting with exercise equipment preferred

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

Valid driver’s license and proof of good driving recordFirst Aid CertificationPersonal Training or Group Fitness CertificationAbility to lift or move chairs/tables/stages for event set ups on a weekly basis
