The Regional Workplace Services Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the seamless functionality, efficiency, and strategic alignment of workplace services across multiple locations within the West Coast. This role is distinctly a leadership position, requiring the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team while driving alignment with organizational goals. Success in this position involves delivering an efficient, employee-focused workplace environment that supports long-term business success and aligns with global objectives.This role requires a combination of operational expertise, strategic planning, and strong leadership skills to address several challenges effectively:

Managing diverse facilities across the region involves ensuring consistency in operations, maintenance, and service delivery while addressing the unique needs of each location  Monitoring and responding to employee sentiment to foster a positive workplace environment while balancing operational priorities Developing and managing regional budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and alignment with financial targets, while identifying opportunities to optimize costs and allocate resources efficiently Negotiating and maintaining contracts with vendors to guarantee high-quality, reliable services while managing relationships and ensuring accountability Creating and implementing processes, initiatives, and playbooks aligned with global workplace strategies to enhance operational efficiency and support company objectives Ensuring all facilities meet local regulations, safety standards, and company policies, requiring constant vigilance and adaptability to changing requirements Coordinating space allocation and planning to accommodate the organization’s evolving needs, balancing functionality, employee experience, and cost considerations. Tracking and analyzing operational metrics to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making. Leading a team of office coordinators and office managers across multiple locations, ensuring clear communication, consistent performance standards, and professional development opportunities. This includes providing training, mentoring, and guidance to enhance skills, improve performance, and foster growth within the team. Overseeing the planning and execution of office events to ensure alignment with company culture and objectives, while delivering engaging and impactful experiences Managing the daily operations of facilities to ensure seamless functionality and an exceptional employee experience, requiring proactive problem-solving and a commitment to high standards Managing regional crisis scenarios (e.g., natural disasters, evacuations, protests, or pandemics) and overseeing business continuity plans to ensure preparedness for emergencies. Analyzing and presenting insights to leadership to influence strategic decisions and drive improvements across the region. The Team You’ll Work With

You’ll be joining our Real Estate & Workplace Services team, which is part of the People team.

The REWS (Real Estate and Workplace Services) team at Carta ensures that every office operates efficiently, creating a welcoming and productive environment for employees. They manage facilities, budgets, vendor relationships, and space planning to support the company’s evolving needs while prioritizing a positive employee experience. The team also plans and executes events that foster connection, engagement, and alignment with Carta’s culture and values. By aligning workplace operations with global strategies, they drive operational efficiency, maintain compliance, and support the company’s ability to scale effectively. Through their thoughtful planning and execution, the REWS team enhances both the physical and cultural aspects of Carta’s workplace.

About You 5+ years of experience in Workplace Management or Facilities Management and 2+ years in leadership role CFM certification is a plus Proven success in managing, supporting, and leading a team effectively. Capable of acting swiftly under pressure and adapting to evolving priorities and processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering clear and effective interactions across all levels of the organization. Experience in event planning and execution. Experience with Google Suite, Jira, Brivo, Envoy, Coupa, Zip, Cloudgate and Slack platforms

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 

 $120,000- $150,000 mid salary point  in San Francisco
