Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an established professional services leader in the Surface Transportation sector to drive the growth and strategy of AECOM’s services in the West Coast of the United States. This individual will be part of the leadership team for the West Coast Surface Transportation Division and will have responsibility for top line growth of the Surface Transportation Division. The ideal candidate will be an industry leader with existing relationships at key highway and transportation agencies in California and/or Washington. The Surface Transportation Division at AECOM works within all phases of services including environmental, planning, design, and program management. This leader will need to be a self-starter who can build a high-performing team rapidly and demonstrate a successful track record in winning work.

The Surface Transportation Growth Leader will need to be a growth minded leader who can work collaboratively with other senior leadership and mentor staff in a dynamic setting to drive business development, capture management, account management, proposal and interview preparation, and ultimately grow top line wins and bookings.

Plans, organizes and implements all business development activities for the Surface Transportation DivisionWorks independently to pursue development of new business prospectsAct as an external leader for AECOM and maintain a visible profile in the regionBuild and cultivate a high performing growth team that thrives in a face paced environmentDrive growth, strategy, and sale of AECOM’s Surface Transportation ServicesHelp build a strong and thriving culture in the West Coast that promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and innovationParticipate in negotiations of contractual and financial agreements with clients and sub-consultantsKey Performance Indicators include wins, bookings, contribution margin sold, pursuit investment versus wins ratio, and backlog growthQualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience including business development, capture management, and account managementAbility to teach and mentor technical staff by demonstrated knowledge of relevant technical skills and toolsAbility to build broad and deep internal and external networks, and capable of communicating to inspire and lead othersPreferred Qualifications
