The Role

 

The Wet Lab Technician will be responsible for mixing and testing CMP slurries, operating wet lab characterization tools; executing test plans, generating test data, and maintaining CMP equipment.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mixes, filters, and documents slurry for testingCoordinates with engineering and lab staff on slurry, chemistry and supply needsOperates wafer polishing, metrology, and slurry characterization equipmentMeasures slurry stability and product shelf-life on various analytical toolsGenerates data on Malvern, AcoustoSizer, Celerity, E-chem Biologic SP-300, FTIR, HPLC, SurPASS, wafer-cutter & Bench-top polisherMaintains CMP lab equipmentOperates in compliance with company safety practicesFills and lifts slurry pails and canisters up to 55 pounds. Moves drums, totes and operates forklift.Job requires standing and working in a lab setting for a substantial part of every dayPerforms other duties as assigned by Wet Lab Supervisor

 

REQUIREMENTS

Proficient with basic chemistry, SDS, lab equipment and chemical handling processesMinimum HS degree or GED required; some college preferred especially with chemistry courses/labs0 to 1 year of previous experience requiredExcellent communication, data collection, time management and organizational skills requiredJob requires standing and working in the lab for a substantial part of every dayMust be able to lift 55 lbs. (See Physical Requirements and Working Conditions)Technically inclined person with a desire to work on tools and chemistriesPerson should be comfortable dealing with and handling chemicalsExcellence in understanding and following instructionsFamiliarity with computer software and applicationsExperience with CMP polishing and metrology will be considered a plusExcellent safety, work performance and attendance recordsAnalytical sampling experience (pH, % solids, particle counts, titration) preferredSAP experience a plusPrior experience in the chemical industry a plusThis is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
