WGN-TV is looking for a full-time writer for our newscasts.

Responsibilities:

Write stories and edit video for broadcastManage live shots and work with reporters and photographers to file content into show rundownsOrder and file graphics including lower thirds and fullscreensAssist producers in other areas as neededMay be asked to line produce on a fill-in basis

Requirements and Skills:

Two (2) years of experience as a writer or producer of television news broadcastsCollege degree in Journalism or Mass Communications, or related experienceMust have strong writing skills and news judgmentMust be able to work well under deadline pressureRequired to join the IBEW union
