White Flyer - Plant Supervisor

Title: Plant Supervisor
Location: San Bernardino, CA

Salary: 90,000+, depending on relevant related experience
Schedule:  Will work on-site a staggered 5-day schedule to assist the Plant Manager with supervising weekend work schedules

Focus:  Supervise all aspects of manufacturing clay targets at the production facility and directly supervise 2nd and 3rd shift personnel. 

Plant Supervisor Essential Functions: 

Serve as interim Plant Manager on the day shift when the Plant Manager is out of the office.Ensure adequate supplies of raw materials are available to guarantee continuous production flow.Support ongoing compliance and continuous improvement to all safety performance standards, including compliance with all OSHA guarding, process safety management, and general Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.Ensure continuous improvement in all quality performance metrics while driving for continuous reduction in scrap rates.Support achieving monthly delivery order requirements while continuously improving manufacturing performance and equipment uptime metrics.

Plant Supervisor Position Requirements: 

Must meet one of the following:Bachelor’s degree* in engineering, business administration, supply chain, or finance with one year of relevant supervisory experience; OR, High school diploma or equivalent with six years of relevant manufacturing supervisory experience.Mechanical aptitude to drive root cause/corrective actions for manufacturing processes and equipment improvements.Experience with optimization of supply chains and manufacturing processes is preferred. Experience with inventory management and supply and demand balancing/planning is preferred. Familiarity with seasonality management in product demand and associated inventory management a plus.Experience with Microsoft Excel; SAP is preferred.Aptitude to learn, understand, and work with a significant amount of process detail in a logical, detail-oriented manner.Ability to work in a self-directed, autonomous manner, including motivation and aptitude to utilize existing documentation to learn and understand the intricacies and operation of the programs and systems involved in the Forecasting process.Diligence to conduct many sequential tasks each month, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.10% travel required.

Location-Specific Requirements: 

This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
