Job Description:
Nouria is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented wholesale logistics coordinator to manage fuel inventory and deliveries for Nouria-owned location and wholesale customers. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, setting supplier pull points, and scheduling fuel deliveries with third-party common carriers. The coordinator will communicate daily with carriers to address scheduling, freight invoice discrepancies, product shortages, and fuel quality issues. They will make decisions regarding carrier selection based on availability and supply source allocations, while also ensuring that all supply contract term volumes are fulfilled on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This position requires constant monitoring of fuel inventories to maintain efficient station operations and avoid runouts. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with Nouria’s logistics dispatch team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where clear and consistent communication is essential. This position will also be responsible for on-call duties and will participate in a rotating weekend schedule, shared among multiple team members, to ensure coverage for fuel logistics needs outside of regular business hours. Experience in logistics, supply chain, or fuel distribution is a plus, and proficiency in logistics software is preferred.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manage carrier performance, communicate daily with haulers, and resolve issues related to freight invoices, product shortages, and fuel quality.
• Make carrier and supply source allocation decisions based on availability, cost, and delivery efficiency.
• Ensure all supply contract term volumes are tracked and fulfilled weekly and monthly.
• Manage market movements and optimize supply sources to maximize profitability on a load-by-load basis.
• Address reconciliation issues with suppliers and carriers, including demurrage claims, multiple stop charges, and other delivery-related disputes.
• Collaborate closely with the logistics dispatch team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with consistent communication.
• Participate in on-call duties and a rotating weekend schedule to ensure 24/7 fuel logistics coverage.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
• Must have 5+ years of experience in logistics dispatching, preferably within the fuel, transportation, or supply chain industry.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to manage dynamic schedules, optimize delivery routes, and respond quickly to changing conditions.
• Proficient in logistics and dispatch software, with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
