Wifi Lead Developer

Strong programming skills in C and Understanding of Linux system programming. Familiarity with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs and other relevant protocols for networking devices. Proficiency in Linux and experience in configuring, customizing, and building openwrt packages. Understanding of wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, and how to configure wireless interfaces via openvswitch Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques, as embedded systems can be challenging to troubleshoot. Understanding of embedded systems and experience working with low-level hardware, including an understanding of CPU architectures, memory management, and device drivers. Awareness of security best practices, as network devices need to be secure. This includes understanding encryption, authentication, and network security Understanding of SDN solutions and experience in plume solution integrations. Proficiency with version control systems like Git for managing code repositories and collaboration with other developers. Scripting skills in shell languages like Bash for debugging and to be used in programming Knowledge of build root build system and devops tools like docker and gitlab integrations Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Tests and evaluates systems, subsystems, and components. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiences. Develops software update processes for existing products and assists in the roll-out of software releases. The ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software requirements in networking landscape change.

The annual salary for this position is between $1,25,000 – $1,50,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
