Responsible for all stages of the extrusion process to ensure optimal standards for producing quality extruded sheet

Role and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control all aspects of quality assurance, rates, and yields.Set up and control extrusion machinery to ensure optimal sheet production standards through monitoring blends, die adjustments, temperature profiles, speed settings, and collection systems.Troubleshoot machine problems and assist maintenance to resolve equipment problems and/or make repairsOversee equipment, product, and controls to identify problems such as heat and pressure monitoring, malfunctions, product color and product quality integrity.Monitor raw materials and finished goods staging and disposition.  Material handling when needed.Perform extrusion machine adjustments, set-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.Clean out blenders, mixers, and grinders as needed. Responsible for setting up blendersObserve all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. This includes but is not limited to product area, cleaning of machine and general cleaning.Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. Strongly PreferredMinimum of 3 years’ manufacturing experienceExperience in the extrusion process preferredExperience using a forklift preferredMust obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold positionAll required WilbertU Courses based on job titlePreferred SkillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbove average math skillsAbility to learn quicklyAble to work well with others with minimal supervisionKnowledge of hand and power tools and related machines beneficialAverage proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheetsAbility to successful maneuver and operate a forklift truckStrong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.Ability to understand and apply mechanical principles preferredAdditional Notes
