Wildlife Outreach Coordinator
Overview GENERAL DESCRIPTION Organize events or activities or programs designed to showcase a variety of native and exotic animals to illustrate the principles of ecology and life science in an educational and entertaining format and to negotiate with others in order to ensure they work together effectively. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPETENCIES Ability to work as part of a team. Customer service skills. Problem-solving skills. Technical expertise. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Project management skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and/or taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to correct/adjust focus. OTHER REQUIREMENTS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
