Job Description Shift Planning Team Lead
Lead a defined team of ~10 people. Manage and help to develop the team, implement and enforce policies, develop yearly plan, contribute to the development of strategy for the planning department as a whole. Management in line with corporate guidelines in order to ensure the realization of (strategic) objectives of the assigned unit.
Roles and responsibilities:
Leads (activities of) the shift planning team in the execution of processes.
Is primarily accountable for results of team or department.
Coordinates cross sector improvement projects.
Coaches competencies within team.
Sets priorities of activities of the team.
Realizes execution of plan for own team drafted by higher management level.
Explains and convinces and elicits investment from internal and external parties about chosen solutions based on content-driven arguments.
Internal stakeholders: Interacting daily with Group Leaders, Manufacturing & Logistics, Material Planning, D&E, Procurement, Finance, Customer Support, Production Engineering.
Evaluates (work) processes for own functional discipline and initiates and implements process improvements.
Understand and interpret customer demand and factory constraints to verify team’s performance.
Supervises work of subordinates and holds them accountable via setting goals, defining development actions, and KPI monitoring.
Maintains regular 1:1 meetings with team members as a platform to discuss performance, development, and resolve issues.
Coordinates activities that require at least advanced vocational working and thinking level (bachelor starter).
Manages cross sector escalations.
Understand Supply Chain Management/Planning Systems on high level to manage material availability risks for factory and customers.
Education and experience:
Bachelor's degree required
People leadership experience
Minimum 2 years hands on knowledge and/or experience with Logistic processes and procedures.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
Insight in processes of relevant departments
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of experience in managing factory planners for a manufacturing company
APICS certification
New Product Implementation Management

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
