Title: Engineering and Drafting Technician
Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $60,000 - 74,000 depending on relevant related experience

Engineering and Drafting Technician Essential Job Functions: Prepare both preliminary and final drawings for various types of projects. Create and modify complex drawings of various disciplines from layouts provided by engineers. Check drawings for accuracy of detail and calculations involved and assist in interpreting drawings for various departments. Exercise skills in manipulating the ACAD and Inventor software and drafting techniques. Prepare on-the-spot field sketches for later use as a basis of formal drawings. Prepare bills of material, specifications, and work orders. Prepare charts, graphs, maps, and diagrams for presentations. Make artistic illustrations when needed. Engineering and Drafting Technician Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Must meet one of the following:   One year of related engineering drafting experience; OR, Associates* or Bachelors* in CAD technology or related discipline. Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and up-to-date AutoCAD software; AutoDesk Inventor or 3D Modeling experience preferred. Analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, multiple tasks, shift demands, and willingness to collaborate and support team efforts. Frequent standing and walking, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Location-Specific Requirements: 

This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
