Title:  Production and Inventory Planner
Location:  East Alton, IL

Salary: $70,140 and up based on experience, additional annual bonus opportunity available
Schedule:  Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work weekends, as needed

Focus: This role will perform production planning and scheduling activities to achieve optimum customer service objectives, inventory investment, levelized production, controlled production costs, and schedules

Production and Inventory Planner Essential Functions:

Oversee automated daily production and scrap transactions in SAP. Create and maintain production/subcontractor schedules. Supply chain liaison for supporting manufacturing schedule attainment goals. Investigate and identify root cause / corrective action on inventory accuracy/control issues. Prepare inventory analysis reports and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Analyze daily inventory levels and identify slow-moving, trapped, and obsolete material. Participate in coordinating and executing cycle count programs. Provide special inventory control reports and analytical support as needed.

Production and Inventory Planner Position Requirements:

Must meet one of the following requirements: Associate degree* in Business Admin, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent discipline; Bachelor’s degree within designated discipline preferred; OR,    High School Diploma or equivalent with two years’ related work experience.   Minimum of one year of Production and Inventory-related experience.   Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and SAP experience preferred. Familiarity with production processes within a manufacturing environment preferred. Must possess excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, mathematical aptitude, project management, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, shift demands, work independently, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts. Some travel required.

Location-Specific Requirements: 

This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
