Essential Responsibilities:
As the Wind Energy Field Specialist - Sr.Travel Technician - Blades, you will:
Inspect and photograph internal and external blade damage, document findings, and assemble all associated paperwork as required to be posted for further action by EngineeringPreform composite repairs on internal and external blade surfaces, leading and trailing edge repair while following guidelines provided by Engineering with locations both up tower and down towerUtilize blade access platforms, boom trucks, and rope access at heights of 300ft or moreHelp in all areas of site preparation (i.e. coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervisionDocument all work performed using computer based service reporting proceduresCommunicate site status to engineering, customers, and managementProvide maintenance support and preform large component replacement of wind turbine generatorsProvide wind turbine generator LOTO (Lock Out & Tag Out) support
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma / GEDMinimum of 4 years of composite repair experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as requiredAbility and willingness to work and climb heights of 300ft or moreAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseMust have the ability to climb ladders that have a specific OSHA weight limit of 250 to 300lbsAbility and willingness to meet and maintain EHS Climbing requirement standards
