WIND TECHNICAL ANALYST

Introduction

ArcVera Renewables, a Bureau Veritas company is recruiting a Wind Technical Analyst.

This role is for a client-serving, highly-skilled, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced wind energy technical analyst, well-suited to join our global team of dedicated atmospheric scientists and renewable energy engineers. Aptitude in business development and client management is required

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Atmospheric Science or related degree Minimum three(3) years of experience conducting wind energy technical analysis from prospecting through development, finance/IE, operations, and repowering. Data processing and programming skills along with a knack for numbers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and constructively in all internal and external work and client interactions. Knowledgeable about  wind energy resource assessment, its strengths and weaknesses. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Google suite of collaborative tools. Proficiency in English and MS Office. Unwavering dedication to quantitative and written accuracy and attention to detail. Accountability and responsibility for project proposals, written and quantitative project quality and accuracy, client relationships, project completion, and team member performance within projects. Business development background with a client-first approach

Job Specification

Duties and Responsibilities Design, deploy and manage measurement campaigns onshore (towers, remote sensors) and offshore (e.g., FLIDAR). Conduct site inspections to confirm and evaluate local orography, wind exposure, measurement locations, and equipment configurations (micrositing) for financing and other purposes. Processing, validation, and statistical analysis of measured meteorological data. Advanced data set analysis with appropriate application of measure-correlate-predict (MCP) methodologies. Utilization of reanalysis data sets for the long-term correction of local, short-term data sets. Utilization of long-term surface-based data sets (e.g., ASOS) for long-term correction of local, short-term data sets. Wind flow modeling using industry standards and working with ArcVera’s internal mesoscale/LES numerical weather prediction model team. Thorough understanding of the calculation and application of project losses. Calculation of utility-scale wind farm uncertainty. Proposal preparation and execution if accepted by the client. May include budget/personnel management and oversight (project execution) on time and on- or better-than budget. Client relationships with routine interaction, including pursuit of ongoing or initial work with existing or potential clients. Full knowledge of corporate capability and offerings in interaction with clients. Assurance that the very best insights, valuable client feedback and transparency is included in project deliverables. Delivery of final results, reports, and deliverables to clients
