Job Title: WTG and Foundation Safety Engineer
Location: Boston, MA

Exciting opportunity with one of the leading constructors and operators of offshore windfarms internationally. Seeking a Safety Engineer with a strong technical understanding of offshore Wind Turbine Generators and Foundations. 

Responsibilities:

Deliver health and safety documents, ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals. Manage projects to completion, maintaining safety and quality standards. Develop and manage project documentation aligned with strategic objectives. Conduct workshops and inductions to ensure compliance with US legislation. Perform risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations. Design and oversee safety protocols and procedures. Review manufacturing processes and suggest safety improvements. Define and manage incident reporting requirements. Provide H&SE support through regular meetings and site inspections. Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies. Develop hazard assessments and review fire protection plans. Implement safety processes using hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies. Apply standards and best practices for large-scale projects. Conduct product audits at various project stages. Contribute to HS&E, Construction Phase, and Emergency Response Plans. Review safety, rescue, and evacuation plans. Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety regulations. Capture and share lessons learned to improve business practices. Act as a safety leader, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Industrial, or Safety Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of design safety experience in a delivery-oriented environment. Experience in offshore wind farms, marine works, or oil and gas operations. Experience with WTG equipment, foundation fabrication and installation, and cable interfaces. Experience with design hazard assessments and large infrastructure project coordination. Proficiency with database systems and documentation administration. OEUK Medical certificate.
