Wind turbine technician
**Job Description:** **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Installation** : Assemble and install new wind turbines, including mounting turbines on towers, connecting electrical systems, and ensuring proper functionality. 2. **Maintenance** : Perform regular maintenance checks on wind turbines, including lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of worn-out parts like bearings and blades. 3. **Troubleshooting and Repair** : Diagnose issues with turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime. 4. **Inspection** : Inspect turbines for damage, wear, and overall safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. 5. **Electrical Work** : Conduct electrical testing and repairs, including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and adjusting electrical systems to ensure turbines are producing power efficiently. 6. **Safety Procedures** : Adhere to strict safety standards when working at heights, handling equipment, and performing electrical work. Properly use safety gear, such as harnesses, helmets, and ropes. 7. **Documentation** : Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs, as well as any parts used and safety protocols followed. 8. **Teamwork and Communication** : Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and field staff to ensure wind turbine performance and energy generation targets are met. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications in wind energy technology or a related field is preferred. + Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Comfort with working at heights and in outdoor, sometimes hazardous conditions. + Physical stamina and strength for lifting heavy equipment and working long hours. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Familiarity with safety standards, such as OSHA regulations for working at heights and electrical safety. **Pay Details:** $30.00 to $50.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
