What Will You Be Doing?

This position is responsible for all aspects of the development, architecture, and governance of the Windows Server solutions within the customer environment. Working with the Architecture and Engineering teams and Government sponsors to develop and implement new services and integrated solutions in the customer owned Windows and Automation environment. Day-to-day system data validation, workflow improvements, and efficiency improvements will be a key success for this position. Presenting to senior leadership around concepts, ideas, and new solutions involving automation is required.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Manage server roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS. Ensure all systems comply with DoD 8570.1 standards, including managing IAT Level II or III certifications and implementing DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) to maintain security posture. Apply CI/CD principles to streamline and automate the engineering service reports, enhancing efficiency in software deployments and updates. Develop and maintain automated scripts for server provisioning, patching, and configuration management. Use PowerShell for advanced automation tasks, including server administration, monitoring, and routine maintenance. Write, test, and deploy scripts that automate Windows-based services and applications. Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex server issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Resolve issues related to system stability, performance, and security. Develop and update comprehensive documentation for all server configurations, procedures, and compliance checks. Create detailed engineering service reports that reflect the health and performance of the server environments. Lead or contribute significantly to projects involving server migrations, upgrades, or new deployments, ensuring they align with organizational goals and security standards. Other duties as assigned
