SUMMARY : The Winners Club Cashier is responsible to provide exceptional front line guest service to our guests. Responsibilities include; executing promotions, special events and box office sales while ensuring responsibility of a cash drawer, inventory of cash, coin and gaming chips as well as processing fills/credits for table games. The candidate is expected to work in harmony with their co-workers, interacting with all Winners Club associates to ensure an efficient work environment is achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
+ Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with our guests and fellow associates.
+ Utilizes the 3 Feathers Guest Service Standards during all interactions with guests and fellow associates
+ Responsible for handling cash, balancing Cash Drawer, Main or Chip Bank at end of shift in a timely manner.
+ Requires full working knowledge of each area and proficiency with the IGT Advantage and Micros systems, Resort Advantage & Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook.
+ Exchanges US & CND cash & coin, slot tickets, gift certificates & table games chips in accordance with established procedures.
+ Processes Winners Club Paid out Vouchers for our Casino departments.
+ Collects and inventories unsecured currency, and money found (Cash, Coin & Chips) in accordance with established procedures.
+ Responsible for reporting any suspicious incidents to the Winners Club Shift Manager.
+ Cashes personal and travelers checks in compliance with approved procedures.
+ Processes Credit Card, and Debit Card cash advances and purchases in compliance with approved procedures.
+ Exchanges Canadian to and from American Currency in compliance with approved procedures.
+ Handles and addresses cash transaction issues/disputes as they arise.
+ Records any applicable federal cash transactions within computerized software.
+ Maintains accurate record of all fill/credit transactions within chipbank.
+ Keeps up to date with promotional P&P’s and executes accordingly.
+ Assists guests with win/loss requests and sends to Revenue Audit.
+ Assist guests on the gaming floor with accessing free credit and other issues.
+ Enroll guests in Winners Club and capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits discretion in identifying situations that require the attention of the Supervisor. Ex. locked PINs, lost cards, duplicate accounts and other IGT Advantage system guest situations.
+ Issue and redeem promotional comps, coupons, draw tickets, maintain daily reports
+ Answers incoming telephone calls in prompt and courteous manner; able to provide information as needed.
+ Assistant in daily cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and trash removal of all areas of the winners club cage department, including but not limited to, frontline, balancing area, meeting area, bathroom, Mainbanks.
+ Must attend all mandatory training required by position.
+ Other duties as assigned by Winners Club Supervisor/Shift Manager/Assistant Manager/Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be responsible and able to work shift work, weekends and holidays. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully complete the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long period of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as push a wheeled cash cart across the gaming floor weighing approximately 100lbs; at times may be required to assist with pushing a large fill trolley on wheels with an approximate weight of 1000 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is continuous exposure of the employee to noise and cigarette smoke from the casino floor. There is an occasional exposure to disgruntled guests.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III License which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort. Employment will not begin until process is complete.
