Job Summary
The WINS High School Intern position is specific for WINS participants to work alongside Academy, Drexel, and other affiliate organizations scientists in their labs, collections, and in the field. Through these internships, WINS receive mentorship and hands on training by these scientists while providing a service by assisting with important projects. Examples include, but not limited to, assisting with collection management, collection of specimens and samples from the field, processing samples and specimens, and recording information in various databases.
Essential Functions
Photograph and/or x-ray specimens. Re-label or re-house specimens. Update information on collection specimens in databases. Assist scientists with collections samples and or specimens in the field. Assist scientist with processing specimens. Prepare a presentation for WINS annual Intern Poster Conference.Required Qualifications
Must complete the WINS I year and do so in good standing by maintaining B average grade and no less than 75% attendance. Must be a WINS II participant in good standing.Physical Demands

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
