Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to 19.10+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents. Other programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.  

Job Summary:

Our Prep Cook plays a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting chefs by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Key responsibilities include washing, chopping and portioning ingredients, following recipes and assembling dishes. The prep cook ensures kitchen efficiency by managing stock levels, prepping ingredients for future melas and maintaining food safety. This position also supports the overall kitchen operations by cleaning equipment and surfaces and assisting in any additional tasks assigned by our leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates will be trained to properly hold and use a variety of knives including chef’s knife, paring knife and bread knife.

Candidates will be trained on basic food safety and proper food handling to include proper storage, heating, cooling, label and dating procedures

Assists in other aspects of operation, including general cleaning and closing duties as assigned by lead cooks, sous chef or chef.

Prepares various foods under supervision

Follows prep sheets accurately and with a sense of urgency.

Will attend equipment training and practice those techniques.

Reads, understands, and follows recipes and standards.

Rotates product and keeps a clean station.

Demonstrate teamwork and co-operation with other staff

Completes any reasonable task assigned by supervisor.

Assists all aspects of operation through dishwashing, cleaning, re-stocking and any other essential duties

Basic Requirements:

This job requires: the ability to lift 50 pounds

The senses of taste and smell are used frequently, the use of hands and arms for periods of up to eight hours

Peripheral, color, and depth vision are essential.

Must own non-slip shoes

Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Basic previous culinary experience is preferred but not necessary

Ability to develop basic culinary skills.Ex: competent knife skills and basic cooking technique.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure
