Compensation and Benefits: 

Compensation: Starting pay rate of $17.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits: Part-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. 

Job Summary:

Located within the Killington Grand Hotel, the Store Clerk/Barista is responsible for serving all Grand Café products with friendly, individualized attention for each customer. Responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas, fulfilling daily duties assigned by the store manager, and representing the Café in a professional manner. Ideal candidates will be customer driven individuals that have broad product knowledge in both retail and food & beverage items. Responsible for answering questions and supplying guests with accurate product information and helping customers make decisions and find resolutions to their needs.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develop a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks & food items so that our owners and repeat customers receive a personalized touch

Verbally receive and call back customer orders in a friendly manner

Report all customer complaints to manager on duty

Respond proactively to prevent customer service situations

Accurately ring sales orders into register

Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving store greeting, directions to store location, along with other information regarding the resort

Receive customer orders in person and via telephone and fill orders

Answer customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness

Keep up with product orders from commissary

Stock and organize inventory 

Monitor food quality and temperatures

As an alcohol retailer, the associate is responsible for selling these products in safe and controlled environment

Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guest and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner 

Maintain shop cleanliness and appearance

Perform other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Previous retail sales experience preferred

Required to complete alcohol safety training and maintain knowledge safe alcohol practices

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion 

Must be at least 18 years of age

Strong math skill preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have excellent customer service skills, flexible hours, and be able to work weekends

Familiarity with the specific type of merchandise sold in the shop desirable

Previous experience with soft goods or hard goods is a plus, but not required
