Wire Harness Assembler
**Job Title: Wire Harness Assembler** **Job Description** As a Wire Harness Assembler, you will play a key role in the assembly and quality assurance of mechanical assemblies. You will follow detailed work instructions to assemble components, perform inspections, document activities, and ensure the timely shipment of products. Your tasks will include using measurement tools and gauges, performing pressure tests, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. **Pay:** Up to $25 on day shift and up $27 swing shift **Responsibilities** + Identify necessary equipment to perform assigned operations. + Assemble components into mechanical assemblies per specifications by following work instructions. + Perform assembly, inspection, documentation, and shipment activities according to defined work instructions and quality procedures. + Utilize common measurement tools and gauges, such as calipers, hanging scales, radius, thread gauges, etc., to perform quality inspections. + Utilize pressure test equipment for validation testing. + Operate dependably under minimal supervision. + Quickly identify and escalate any non-conformance, quality, or safety issues to the Manufacturing Manager/Supervisor. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment. + Maintain sufficient personal mobility and physical fitness to perform tasks that may require extended periods of standing or sitting. + Lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting. + Check the quality of work done by others and provide technical opinions to employees needing assistance with resolving technical issues. + Maintain daily goals and targets for production. + Report all production/assembly mistakes or defects in workmanship to your supervisor as they occur. + Keep all work, schedules, and company information confidential. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Good communication skills, both written and verbal. + Good reading comprehension. + Good organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to multi-task. + 2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or related functions. + 2+ years of college or vocational training in this field, or exceptional direct experience. + Knowledge of diagram modifications if diagrams are incorrect. + Familiarity with basic assembly procedures for control consoles, main machines, and sub-assemblies. + Ability to manipulate and use CRT/screens, keyboards, mouse/pointing devices, etc. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision to complete time-sensitive tasks. + Ability to maintain a constructive work environment, including self-evaluation of work performance. + Ability to build positive attitudes and morale by being enthusiastic and insightful. + Ability to develop, learn, implement, and follow organizational policies with respect to the prevention of illness and injury for all organizational staff, customers, associates, and others. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a clean, new building with a great culture and catered lunches. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented, and collaborative role for someone who can assure the quality of their own work and assist team members in troubleshooting any issues.
