We are hiring a Wire Harness Technician for an opportunity with an automotive manufacturer. You will be a part of a team building prototype vehicles.

Job Responsibilities include:

•\tUpdate vehicles with harnessing and electronic components

•\tRead blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions

•\tAssist and perform vehicle build activities

•\tBuild, modify, fix mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems

•\tCreate/modify/maintain wiring harnesses and test the connections as required

•\tCheck and verify operation of the electric and mechanical systems installed to the vehicles

•\tAssist in troubleshooting of any issues found

•\tSupport issue resolution in conjunction with the rest of the team

•\tDocument any issues found, and the steps taken to resolve the same

•\tAssemble and install heavy cables on prototype vehicles

•\tVerify, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles electrical and electronic systems, and instrumentation

•\tOrganize shop to provide simplicity in gathering parts and components for increase efficiency of the prototype wiring facility

•\tHelp with build of prototype vehicle

•\tVerify test truck specifications (hardware/software) and resolve spec compatibility issues.

•\tProvide feedback to responsible Design Engineer(s) on assembly status and emerging issues.

•\tPerform issue diagnostics utilizing proprietary software tools.

•\tDocument and support issue resolution during vehicle build process.

Must Haves

•\t2 years of relevant wire harness experience required

•\tDemonstrated skills: detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.

•\tHV3 Certification (vehicle high voltage safety training) OR ability to obtain within six months of employment.

•\tUnderstands diagrams and documentation of Low Voltage harnesses along with routing requirements.

•\tAssemble and repair of harnesses with full understanding of specialty tools requirements

•\tTruck/ Automotive experience is a plus

•\tMechanically inclined

•\tTeam player

•\tAbility to work in a working shop and a fast-paced environment while working on multiple projects at the same time.
