Wireless Engineer III
Job Description The Advanced Commercial Engineering (ACE) team at Charter is looking for a Wireless Engineer III to join their dynamic team. This role involves planning, forecasting, and implementing resource requirements for complex wireless network systems. You will develop, test, and implement network enhancements, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. As a Wireless Engineer III, you will be responsible for the implementation of wireless network architecture and designs, participating in network planning and engineering. You will integrate and visually represent communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, signaling links, and protocols into comprehensive wireless network configurations. Additionally, you will evaluate new products, resolve network issues, and develop and implement approved procedures. Experience with enterprise-level managed WiFi is essential, as you will be testing and optimizing new wireless products that are being released this year. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our wireless network systems are optimized and efficient. The hourly pay for this position starts at $55/hr and ranges up depending on years of experience. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of wireless network experience with CCNP or equivalent vendor-specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.). Strong understanding of data wireless networking (OSI Model, TCP/IP). Knowledge of wireless industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants) and related technologies (Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet, Transport protocols).
