Wireless Project Manager

This person should have experience managing vendors and technical teams Description Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team to assist with an enterprise wireless refresh across multiple hospital locations. This person will be working along with (Sr. PM) who is a TEK contractor on the wireless refresh project to ensure deliverables are met on time. It’s slated as a 9 month contract with the possibility to be extended depending on budget and deliverables on the project. Work Schedule • 70% remote / 30% on-site (ravel to locations throughout Southern MD / Baltimore / Washington DC) • Controller migrations occur overnight and off hours o Travel to the MedStar locations  1st day support and following cutovers Scope of project work • LAN remote office switch refresh (14 sites) o Installing Cisco 9800 switches • Cleaning remote office wireless AP change outs (Monday – Friday business hours) o Physical AP change outs will be completed by a 3rd party vendor • Wireless controller migrations Skillsets: • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality wireless solutions that meet client needs and align with industry standards. • Strong understanding of project scope and timelines. • While a Cisco CCNA is not required, the candidate must have a solid understanding of networking and some telecom experience. • Familiarity with LAN closets and networking infrastructure. • Knowledge of cabling infrastructure best practices. • Experience with Change and Risk/Issue Management. • Ability to maintain documentation for compliance and milestone tracking. Project Tasks: • Leading the LAN refresh for remote sites. • Leading the remaining Remote Office AP changeouts. • Assisting leading hospital Wireless AP changeouts. Skills Project management, cisco switches, wireless access point, lan Top Skills Details Project management,cisco switches,wireless access point,lan Additional Skills & Qualifications This person will be managing the following vendors on the projects: • Kyndryl – break/fix and outsourced operations support • Partnering with Iron Bow (Cisco VAR) for project engineering • Partnering with KCI and Henkel’s and McCoy (cabling vendors) •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff. •Ability to use judgment in interpreting work directions for appropriateness to specific tasks or problems. •Effective organization skills. •Proficient in analysis and problem solving, ability to assess customer needs and determining appropriate solutions. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
