WOCN Registered Nurse (Wound and Ostomy Care )Department

Fast-paced, high volume Wound Care department is looking for top skilled WOCNs.  Is that you?

 

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Part Time Days, 24 hour work week  - 3 days / week ( self schedule) 7:30am -4pm

Here’s What You Need

·       BSN Required upon hire.

·       Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

·       BLS (AHA) prior to providing independent patient care.

·       CPI training within 90 days of hire

·       Certification in CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) OR CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) OR CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse )within 6 months of hire

·       2+ years of strong Med/surg RN experience in acute care or wound care setting required

·       Charge/preceptor skills preferred

 

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

·       Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

·       Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

·       Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

·       Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

What You Will Do

·       Responsible for delivery of wound care treatments as ordered by Physician.

·       Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.

·       Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.

·       Post-operative patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.

·       Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound and ostomy care.
