Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Supervisor of Women's Imaging Center manages and coordinates the daily operations of all assigned sites. This will include 3 Women's OP Imaging Centers that provide mammography, US breast and general scans, along with DEXA. They will oversee imaging services in a manner that optimizes patient, associate, and physician experience. Must have years of experience in women's imaging, preferably a lead mammographer They will maintain a productive work environment and will meet professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards. The Supervisor also collaborates effectively with imaging personnel, inter-disciplinary departments, facility leadership, Manager of Imaging, Director of Imaging, and Medical Director of Imaging.

Provides reports, recommendations and action plans needed to meet goals, Joint Commission requirements and other required standards and regulations (ACR, State Department of Health, NRC).Plans and conducts regular and specialized in-service training programs; maintains clinical affiliation with radiologic technology training program(s). Orients and provides in-service training and continuing education opportunities to department associates to ensure their continued technical proficiency.Develops, recommends, and administers department operating and capital expense budgets and ensures that department(s) operates within budget; identifies and implements appropriate cost-effective measures on a continuous basis. Recommends the acquisition, use and organization of available resources to ensure the provision of radiology servicesDetermines and recommends the number of staff members needed to provide high-quality, economic service and ensures that staff members are qualified and competent. Manages patient flow/load and technologist hours to meet patient and facility needs. Assures delivery of quality radiology services; available for consultation with medical, nursing and administrative staff to coordinate patient care. Collaborates with other departments and physicians in the facilities to ensure exceptional care.Must understand the accrediation process for mammography sitesThis document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Licensing/Certification

Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), or NMTC (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) (required)
State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required) 

Education

Associates, (required) ARRT, Mammo, or US

Work Experience

4 years' experience in clinical environment (required)
Advanced Imaging Technologies (preferred)

Training

EPIC Electronic Health Record (preferred)
