Women's Education Instructor

PRN/Supplemental - Day/evening hours, weekends as needed (potentially 2-4 hours per week or less)

Position Objective:

The instructor plans and teaches classes in accordance with the established course curriculum guidelines developed by Women’s Education.

Essential Job Duties:

Plans and teaches classes to cover all points on established outlines, allowing sufficient time for class participationInstructs individuals in accordance with established course curriculum guidelines developed by Women’s Education.Participates in quality improvement process.Obtains needed supplies and equipment for class. Cleans up teaching area and returns supplies and equipment to proper storage area.Communicates as necessary to Women’s Education health assistant and supervisor. Attends staff meetings as scheduled by supervisor.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.Minimum one year experience in related field of work (Maternal Health Experience in Post Partum and or Labor and Delivery)Demonstrates effective communication skills.

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Physical Demands -

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
