Woodyard Superintendent
The opportunity:
The Woodyard Superintendent reports to the BackEnd Operations Leader. This position is responsible and accountable for all Woodyard day to day operations, personnel, safety, environmental impact, cost center, and quality and production requirements which is coordinated through the shift Team leaders. Managing daily production resources, interfacing with other departments, and troubleshooting any operational and/or quality issues is the primary focus of this role. The overall objective and responsibility are to ensure the personnel have the tools and information needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively.

In this role, you’ll be entrusted with the stewardship of assets and be expected to make timely operational decisions to maximize mill production with respect to mill issues. As a key leader in the department, you will drive shift performance to meet departmental objectives with a key focus on continuous improvement.Drive safety engagement, awareness, and adherence to safety policies and proceduresActively apply and ensure alignment with the quality policies and principles.Manage all aspects of costs related to the woodyard area and work to maximize and improve costs, yields, and waste.Ensure environmental policies and practices are adhered to.Lead team effectiveness through continued employee development and performance management Responsible for conducting business with integrity and respect, being accountable, and actively pursuing excellence to achieve organizational goals.
