Description WordPress Developer + 4 months, beginning asap + Up to 36 hours per week + Open for remote, but preference is hybrid with the ability to go on site 1-2 times per week in Minneapolis We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with a strong background in both front-end development and plugin creation. This developer will join our team on a contract basis and will work on building a custom block-based theme for a new website and develop custom WordPress plugins that integrate with 3rd party APIs. Key Responsibilities: • Develop custom WordPress plugins that integrate with various third-party APIs. • Ensure seamless integration of plugins with existing WordPress installations, including WooCommerce. • Design and develop custom block-based WordPress themes with focus on WordPress’s latest patterning features and full-site editing. • Collaborate with our team to meet project requirements and deadlines. • Troubleshoot and resolve plugin-related and theme-related issues. • Maintain accessibility and responsive design standards. Requirements Requirements: • Proven experience in both developing WordPress plugins and front-end WordPress development. • Strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress APIs, RESTful APIs. • Experience and expertise in building block-based themes using the new patterning features in WordPress. • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress theme development best practices. • Experience with WooCommerce (preferred). • Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles. • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
