Under the direction of the Director of Immune Monitoring Shared Resource, the Work Assistant will assist with technical laboratory procedures such as flow cytometry and cell sorting, Luminex multiplex assay, XCElligence immunotherapy assays, clinical release assays, tissue processing, isolation of viable single cells for sequencing. In addition, the Work Assistant will assist with the experiments and other activities in the lab.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Receives hands-on training in cutting-edge cancer research. Assists in specimen processing and transportation of specimens, isolation of cells from blood and tumor samples, tissue preparation, sample storage. Assists lab staff in daily startup, calibration, and shutdown of instruments. Assists lab staff in performing flow cytometry cell staining, and data analysis. Assists in packing, unpacking, storing of lab supplies. Assists lab staff with cryostorage of PBMCs, serum, and cells from clinical samples. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week up to 40 hours per week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
