The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement, administer, and counsel units and their leadership on individual, family, and community issues including but not limited to career assistance, transition, relocation, family, and other work/life service and activities provided to base personnel. Develops and uses self-assessment, community-assessment, and various measurement tools to identify trends, organizational needs, and Air Force and unit demographic profiles. Designs, manages, develops, and implements procedures to monitor, analyze and document service effectiveness. Develops, implements, and manages installation, work/life services programs. Gathers data, compiles statistics, and reports information to M&FRC Flight Chief for use at installation, MAJCOM, Air Staff, and DoD levels. Basic Requirements Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0100/social-science-series-0101/ SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes knowledge of social services delivery systems as well as wide range of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to one or more of the social or behavioral science fields. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of social services delivery systems as well as wide range of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to one or more of the social or behavioral science fields. 2. Skill in conducting interviews to establish the nature and extent of concerns/issues, provide assistance in developing goals and plans, and determine appropriate referral services/options when frequently there is difficulty in determining clients' needs or wants or in convincing them to accept that problems exist. 3. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact and diplomacy in interactions with individuals/families, leadership of organizations, and with program representatives and officials. 4. Ability to assess and measure organization trends, and needs; assist in identifying and prioritizing goals; and provide guidance and direction for the development and implementation of effective plans and tools to address such issue. 5.
