JOB SUMMARY
The Work Readiness Workshop Manager is pivotal in guiding clients through career advancement by providing essential support services and fostering a conducive learning environment for professional development. The Job Readiness Manager oversees the orientation process, testing departments, resume development, and skill activities to support client growth and career advancement. This role entails managing Orientation. The skill and care entail managing Orientation Facilitators and Career Advisors who conduct workshops, testing, and resume development sessions - reporting to the Deputy Director, ensuring successful engagement, assessment, and placement of unemployed participants with Career Advancement vendors.
The Work Readiness Workshop Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage, familiarize, and assess unemployed participants for placement with Career Advancement vendors. Provides oversight to Orientation Facilitators and Career Advisors, ensuring effective workshop delivery and testing procedures. Collaborating with the Deputy Director and Digital Content Coordinator to design and redesign workshops for a successful transition from education to employment. Ensuring workshop materials facilitate self-assessment and professional growth opportunities for participants. Implementing hybrid participation opportunities to maximize client engagement and accessibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide direct supervision and professional development to all facilitators, Career Advisors and supervisors for career services and educational staff. Recruit, hire, and train career services and Career Advisors and Instructors. Ensure all staff members deliver presentations to meet program expectations and contractual milestones and goals. Develop and implement the design and delivery of career services workshop curriculum. Ensure that all Career Advisors and Facilitators are abreast of current search engines successful career search. Develop and implement a screening process to ensure proper assessment for clients and pipeline employment for vocational training participants. Evaluate career services and educational programs to measure outcomes and develop new initiatives as needed. Ensure that all participant and job order data is entered into the appropriate database within agreed upon deadlines. Meet with customers who wish to make complaints, need information, or want to provide feedback to the department. Lead the coordination of in-house job fairs and large-scale recruitment events

This position will mainly operate out of our Bronx office but there could be a potential need to provide services at other locations within the Manhattan on some occasions.
