This position provides Clubhouse facilitation services to persons with acquired brain injury by assisting Members to work productively in one of five Clubhouse Work Units (Culinary & Nutrition, Maintenance & Horticulture, Communications, Community Resources, and BeechTree). As part of the transdisciplinary team, helps design and implement interventions from the Individual Rehab Service Plan that will lead to successful productive daily activity for every Member of the Clubhouse. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance PTO- Paid time off On-site medical center 403b retirement plan Continuing education programs Tuition-assisted program Career growth opportunities Salary: Starting at $18 / hour - depending on education / experience Job Summary The Community Resources Work Unit Coordinator will specifically be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Community Resources Work Unit and its Members; i.e., publishing a weekly blog of educational, social, and recreational events/activities in the greater Philadelphia region that may be of interest to Members, plan social events for the Clubhouse, organize and lead educational activities, decorate the Clubhouse, plan and organize monthly parties for holidays and Clubhouse Members' birthdays, and tend to bird feeders at several Beechwood residences and buildings. Create opportunities for Clubhouse Members that promotes socialization and involvement in the local community. Develop work for the Community Resources Work Unit and evaluates skills necessary for performing that work; breaks work down into components that each Member can perform. Responsible for publishing a weekly blog of educational, social, and recreational events/activities in the greater Philadelphia region with an emphasis on Langhorne and Lower Bucks County. Plan and organize monthly parties for holidays and Clubhouse Members' birthdays. Organize and lead educational activities. Decorate the Clubhouse for holidays and special events. Provide assistance to other Clubhouse work units and help to plan and promote special events for the Clubhouse. Provide skills training using job coaching principles and techniques to each Community Resources Work Unit Member so they can do the work of the Community Resources Work Unit. Utilizes cognitive, behavioral, and physical rehabilitation techniques as well as task analysis in doing work facilitation. Facilitate all Members in the production of Clubhouse work, recognizing that for some Members, this can be a life-long productive daily living activity, and for others it is a stepping stone to obtaining competitive employment. Function as a part of a continuum of services which provides comprehensive rehabilitation strategies to develop appropriate work-related skills and behaviors that will enhance employability. Facilitate Members’ interpersonal skills to enable positive social interactions, including developing strategies for effective negotiation and healthy conflict resolution, in order to improve quality of relationships in residential, recreational, and work settings. Determine the need for environmental modifications, adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies including assistive technology and assists in obtaining and implementing these adaptations with emphasis on Members being able to maximize their performance in the Clubhouse. Responsible for the weekly monitoring and documentation of Member activities in the Clubhouse. Contribute to the development of an individual’s goals and objectives in their RSP/ISP. Collect data and documents on goals and objectives and gives feedback on performance. Support other Work Unit Coordinators by providing coverage for their Work Units when needed. Build relationships with entities in the community and maintains positive community and customer relationships. Work hours may require evening and weekend availability for time limited periods, to support Clubhouse evening and weekend activities. Direct LSTs who are assigned to work in their Work Units, teaching them the strategies each Member needs to use to produce work, and observes their work with Members. Maintains effective working relationships with all levels of the organization as well as with community organizations. Perform other duties, as assigned. Bachelors Degree in Human Services field. Certification in Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) Eligible 1 to 2 years work experience in human service field required. Brain Injury Experience preferred. Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license. Proof of valid automobile insurance submitted annually. Must complete Smith Driving Training Course. Must complete and pass ServSafe Certification. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
