Role DescriptionThe Workday HRIS Specialist is a key member of the HR team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of the HRIS system. This role involves system administration, data management, reporting, and providing technical support to HR staff and end-users. The HRIS Specialist collaborates closely with HR leaders, IT professionals, and external vendors to maintain and enhance HRIS functionality to meet organizational needs.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in HRIS administration, preferably with specific experience in Workday.Strong technical proficiency with HRIS software, including system configuration, data management, and report generation.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends to support decision-making.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the HRIS, including system configuration, user access management, and troubleshooting.Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits, data cleanup, and system updates.Maintain HR data accuracy and completeness within the HRIS.
Generate standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and metrics for HR and management using HRIS tools.
Provide technical support to HR staff and end-users on HRIS functionality, troubleshooting issues, and resolving inquiries.
Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to ensure users understand and utilize HRIS features effectively.
Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and system enhancements.
Participate in HRIS-related projects, such as system upgrades, integrations, and new module implementations.
Ensure HRIS compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal security policies.
Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive HR data.
Collaborate with HRIS vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and optimize system performance
Assist in evaluating new HRIS products or services and participate in vendor selection processes.
