We are seeking a skilled Workday Operations Engineer to support and optimize our Workday system, ensuring its seamless performance and integration within our business operations. This role involves monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, managing system updates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Workday functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Workday, experience with system configurations, integrations, and security, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
**Lincoln Nebraska Candidates-** **This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. Our hybrid work environment allows associates to work remotely for part of the week, while also fostering collaboration and team connection through in-office presence three days per week.**
**Job Responsibilities include:**
+ Maintain and optimize Workday system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related technical issues and service requests.
+ Manage and coordinate Workday updates, releases, and enhancements in coordination with HR, Finance, IT teams and other Stakeholders.
+ Develop and support Workday integrations with third-party systems.
+ Ensure compliance with security policies and data governance best practices.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows and system efficiencies.
+ Provide training and technical support for users.
+ Follow change control policies and procedures for application migrations from non-production to production environments.
+ Minor programming and development.
+ Participate in internal and external audits and produce audit documentation and reports as necessary.
+ Provide excellent customer service.
**EDUCATION** :
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
**EXPERIENCE** :
+ 3+ years' experience as a Business, Systems or Technical Analyst.
+ US citizenship is required to obtain security clearance.
+ Experience with Workday system administration, configurations, and integrations preferred.
+ Experience with Accounting, Finance, Budgeting, HRMS, ITIL applications preferred.
**COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
+ Proficient troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze system performance.
+ Knowledge of Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs, and web services is a plus.
+ Strong consensus building, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills.
+ Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions.
+ Excellent coordination, documentation and organization skills.
+ Effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture and comfortable with ambiguity.
+ Self-directed and highly motivated.
+ Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment.
**Pay range for this role is $85,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience.**
