Worker’s Compensation Claims Director – Construction & Infrastructure
Worker’s Compensation Claims Director – Construction & Infrastructure This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago office . What the day will look like This is a Chicago-based AGRC Construction & Infrastructure claims advocacy position with a heavy emphasis on workers compensation advocacy. The role involves organization, evaluation, and coordination of workers compensation claims for Aon Construction & Infrastructure clients. This client-facing role requires the candidate to serve as the single primary source of contact with Aon clients. For non-workers compensation inquiries the candidate will identify the proper Aon resource, facilitate introduction with the client, and take responsibility for seeing the issue through to completion. The duties of this role include: + Program review for accurate reserving ; + Maximizing claims service, especially for Workers’ Compensation claims; + Advocating for expedited claim resolution; + Ensuring timely return of collateral; + Identifying opportunities to reduce client's total cost of risk; + Collaborating with carriers to reduce client experience modification factor; + Advocating for an expanded view of coverage ; + Collaboration with Aon resources for non-workers compensation issues. Skills and experience that will lead to success + 10+ years of experience working with Workers Compensation Claims, with a focus on Construction and/or Infrastructure clients in Illinois and surrounding states (IN, IA, MI, MO, WI, KY & OH) + Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications. + Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes. + Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations. + Proven organization and ability to work with others. + Experience in resource deployment and utilization management. + Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels. + Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
