Compensation (Range): / hour: $27.00 - $29.00 hr.

This is a contract position; however, it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.
Workers Compensation Adjuster
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Workers Compensation Adjuster will include: Plant-based Workers' Compensation Claims Handler for lost time, litigated, managed medical and medical only claims. Analyze and process complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim. Make compensability decisions in accordance with state law. Manage indemnity, managed medical and legal claims from first report of injury through claim closure with well-developed action plans to ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions. Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim. Calculate and pay benefits due; approve and make timely claim payments and adjustments; settle clams within designated authority level. Prepare necessary state fillings within statutory limits. Coordinate and direct efforts of outside investigators, medical specialists, medical case managers and vocational rehabilitation specialists for additional investigation and/or litigation management. Use cost-containment techniques, including strategic vendor partnerships, to reduce overall cost of claims. Manage claim recoveries, including but not limited to subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries and Social Security and Medicare offsets. Report claims to the excess carrier. Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client. Ensure claim files are properly documented and claim coding is correct. Lead case management meetings and collaborate with medical, human resources and labor to facilitate a return to-work plan for workers’ compensation and related absences. Workers Compensation Adjuster
Job Requirements
As a Workers Compensation Adjuster, you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual, and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 3-5 years of Kentucky claim adjusting experience High school diploma/GED and 3-5 years Kentucky claim adjusting experience along with possession of Kentucky independent adjuster license; ongoing Continue Education Unit credits to maintain licensure. Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices. Computer experience with related claims and business software Workers’ Compensation Lost Time claim handling experience with proven ability to handle cases of increased complexity. Excellent oral and written communication skills. PC literate, including Microsoft Office products. Analytical and interpretive skills. Strong organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills.
