Overview
NJM Insurance Group is accepting applications for our Summer 2025 Internship Program. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic interns to learn and assist the Workers Compensation Underwriting department. The intern will work closely with the Underwriting team performing business-focus projects and tasks, propose ideas and contribute ways to grow and improve our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
+ Process pricing analysis for large Workers’ Compensation policies in preparation for renewals
+ Participate in policy renewal meetings and assist in determining adequate pricing based on overall risk performance
+ Assist underwriters with gathering information on new business submissions, including reports from Dun and Bradstreet, OSHA, Safety and Fitness Electronic Records System (SAFER), as well as perform google and media searches
+ Monitor adverse experience and assigned risk favorable reports to determine if any action needs to be taken
+ Participate in weekly Underwriting meetings
+ Assist in execution of process improvement initiatives
+ Support other ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications
+ 3.0 or above GPA
+ Rising junior or senior working towards a four-year Bachelor’s Degree program with preferred business relevant majors – Risk Management and Insurance; Business Administration or Management
+ Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
+ Demonstrate analytical, verbal and communication skills
+ Track record of taking initiative and managing multiple competing priorities
